Liposuction is genuinely an art! There are great technologies available that all have the ultimate goal of removing stubborn fat. However, to optimize your results, there are certain things you can do as a patient:1. Streinghten your muslcesBeing in good shape before your procedure will help make your recovery easier. Having a toned body also optimizes the aesthetics of your results after liposuction. 2. Wear your compression garmentYour compression garment helps to minimize post-surgical swelling. The compression garment also helps your skin adjust to its new contour. 3. Lymphatic massageLymphatic Drainage Massage is used after liposuction surgery to decrease swelling, pain, and bruising. Removing the excess fluids from the body also prevents the development of fibrosis, which is the development of thick, fibrous scar tissue under the skin and reduces swelling and bruising. 4. Stick to a healthy diet A healthy diet is essential for healing and maintaining your long-term results.
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You’re a good candidate for Vaser liposuction. This will address all of the excess fat.
Like most people, you've fallen for the corporate fallacy (propagated by surgeons who purchase their product) that it's their machine (Lysonix, Vaser, Smartlipo, Tickle, etc.) that produces the best result. This has been proven to be false, and that the quality of the result lands smack on the shoulders of the operating surgeon. What you need to know is not what machine, but who will do the procedure. I'll give you a hint, it's not the one who does it while you're awake in their office.
Based on this photo, it looks that liposuction of abdomen, flanks and lower back (360) would create nice improvement. You should make in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in body contouring surgery and discuss your options. Good luck.
Thank you so much for your question. Definitely, a liposuction in your abdomen and flanks area will give you very good results. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. There’s a lot of liposuction technology. However, none has shown that different skin tightening additions, laser, ultrasound, etc. make any difference in postoperative results. Make sure that you’re comfortable with your surgeon and have an honest discussion about your goals. Good luck.
In person exam is essential. Based on a limited photo- it appears that you would benefit from a tummy tuck in order to achieve the best result. Liposuction alone only removes fat, and does nothing to excess skin and loose muscle. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and review your options in detail
Dear kryscat37,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
While understanding that an accurate assessment of your concerns and the best recommendation for your particular case can only be made with an "in-person" consultation; it seems from your photo that you are a great candidate for liposuction. Standard liposuction with tumescent technique offers patients the highest satisfaction and lowest complication of any esthetic or elective cosmetic procedure.
Not to be facetious, but the best technique is that technique that your chosen surgeon uses. There are lots of different techniques because no one of them is better than the other. If there was a clear better choice, everyone would be using that. You honestly should not be researching what technique is best. Plastic surgeons train for many, many years to do that. You should be researching which surgeon is best for you, and go with his/her best recommendations. Good luck!
Thank you for your question and congratulations on the baby. I think your a great candidate for liposuction. It will help contour the love handle area, reduce down the abdomen area and help with the overall shape. I would suggest a laser assisted liposuction to help with the skin retraction. ...
Thank you for your question regarding whether the appearance of your cankles can be minimized with liposuction and what is the best procedure to achieve feminine ankles and legs. I highly suggest you consider VASER liposuction. With VASER liposuction, ultrasonic energy is used to melt fat and...
Thank you for inquiring whether you have enough fat for liposuction in the super Pubic Region or FUPA. I'd highly suggest VASER liposuction from your history and pictures for this area. VASER emits ultrasonic energy during the procedure and is known to cause less pain and bruising than...
