Can I get lipo without a tummy tuck?

Thank you for your question.  You can have liposuction done without a tummy tuck.  This procedure will help shrink you down inches, contour the waist line and you will receive some skin retraction if you use a laser assisted liposuction.  The difference with a tummy tuck is that your abdominal wall muscles will be tightened and your extra skin will be removed.  A tummy tuck can always be done down the line if you decide to do so.  Best of luck to you.

This procedure will give you the flattest stomach, by repairing the muscle separation to the abdomen from having children, and removing the excess skin and fat. If liposuction is preformed only your stomach skin may become flaccid with time, if you plan on having babies in the future it would be best to wait on the tummy tuck. I suggest seeking board certified plastic surgeons with experience.

Yes, liposuction can be done without a tummy tuck.  However, after reviewing your photographs, you would benefit from a tummy tuck first.  If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement.  The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.  Liposuction only removes the fat and the skin can hang afterwards.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. Post pregnancy, there can be increased fat and excess skin. If the excess skin is severe, then procedure that removes that skin is more appropriate (tummy tuck or others). If thee is excess skin but not severe, then other procedures such as BodyTite can be useful.

I'm not seeing a large amount of fat on you, but you could perhaps lose a few inches and get more curves if lipo was done on your hips and waist.  As for your tummy, I'm mainly seeing muscle laxity although would need to confirm with an exam.I prefer doing lipo and TT together, and going back where lipo was done makes a TT a bit more involved. But if the time is not right for a TT now, and you are content with more limited changes in some areas, lipo alone could be an option. Get a few opinions !
