Thank you for your question. Your PS has given you the option of liposuction with or without tightening of the abdominal wall to improve your appearance. This is not unreasonable, and the answer depends upon the source of you dissatisfaction. If you don’t like the roundness of your lower abdomen, you will have to get that tightened again with additional sutures, as your PS has suggested. Personally, I think you have had a fair degree of improvement in your diastasis. You still have some laxity, but many people feel that a bit of roundness is more feminine, whereas a flat abdomen can appear somewhat masculine. It is a personal preference. You also appear to have a tiny bit of fullness above your incision line. This can be improved with liposuction alone.

Thank you for your question. Looking at the photos you have provided I do believe you would benefit from some additional liposuction. Many patients after a tummy tuck request to have some additional liposuction to help contour the mid section. I would suggest speaking to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Best of luck to you.

Best to go see a surgeon whos work you think is good so that they can examine you and decide if its a fat or skin issue. Not infrequestly patients can have upper abdominal fullness after a tummy tuck due to the limited ability to aggressively liposuction that area during the procedure.

Although an in person examination would be necessary to plan any future surgery, it appears that the muscle plication in the lower abdomen may insufficient and revising that plication might improve the lower abdominal prominence. Fat may also be a factor to consider as a cause too. One thing for certain is that your scar was placed too high and could be transposed to a lower position on your belly. This would also help from the 'double bubble' appearance of the abdominal skin above and below the scar.

It is impossible to see whether your abdominal bulge is due to posture, muscle laxity or fat deposits? If it is fat related, liposuction would create visible improvement. Good luck.

Hi. Sorry to hear your not totally happy with your results. I do see an improvement but I not think liposuction will make much of a difference. You will benefit from a little more muscle repair though, either vertically or transversely.
That said I believe you could’ve gotten a mini tummy tuck with lower abdominal muscle repair only. Honestly, it is hard to say how bad your muscle diastasis or muscle separation above the belly button was without an in person evaluation, but it seems this would have avoided the belly button scar and would have made for a smaller scar and maybe even (more important to my patients) a lower scar.
Conclusion: More muscle repair will improve the results for sure! Liposuction has a shorter recovery time but will not get you what you are looking for. In the end you would have to go back in surgery and lose more time and money.

Hello! It does look like you got some improvement in muscle definition since before surgery. It is possible a lower abdominal scar revision with removal of some of the upper pubic skin - which might not have been possible at original surgery- might give you a nice result. You are super slim so lipo unlikely to be helpful.
If you are unsure about how to proceed I would recommend you get a second opinion from a (another) board certified plastic surgeon. Would be best to see you in person, and to review the original operative report.

Actually, you got good results with your tummy tuck, especially if you look at your side views. If you have extra fat, liposuction could be helpful.
