Lipo 360: what about arms? (Photo)

Question

I plan to have lipo 360, I know it doesn't include my arms. I am wondering whether my arms will look abnormal compared to my trunk, due to lipo 360? I don't think my arms are bad as far as needing lipo, but worries they won't match my trunk after lipo 360. Is this something that patients typically regret not adding?

Liposuction can be done in the arms during Lipo 360. I recommend using a skin tightening treatment, like BodyTite or JPlasma to avoid sagging of the skin.

Please, keep in mind that safety guidelines limit the amount of fat that can be suctioned at one time. This is usually less than 5 Liters. BMI should also be considered to decrease complications.

Ideal candidates for liposuction are at or near their ideal weight and will have good skin elasticity. The procedure is intended to remove stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to regular exercise, so the skin does need to be able to smooth back into place after the procedure is complete. 
If your BMI is 30 or less, you should be a good candidate. Many varieties of liposuction are available including ultrasonic, smart lipo, laser liposuction vaser lipo, power assisted liposuction, and conventional tumescent liposuction. The results depend very little on the method used and very much on the surgeon selected. Consult with a board certified PS who is an expert in lipo.

Your arms are relatively normal compared to your abdomen and torso. I recommend you concentrate on your abdomen and torso, if that is what bothers you. The safe amount to be removed is 10 lbs during on session. If that amount is not removed then additional volume can be removed from the arms, if desired.

It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.

yes if you do not do your arms they likely will get bigger. the issue here is that you will have too much fat to be removed based on your photos AND it apperars you really need a tummy tuck but I cannot tell if you truly have loose skin on your stomach. if they are going to do your upper back and arms I would suggest one surgery with full back/sides/arms and fat grafting to hips. then wait 3 days and do all your front so you can get 5L x 2 surgeries (ie much more fat removal!). Thank you for your question and photos. You do not give your height and weight, but just looking at these photos, you do have a high BMI. Liposuction 360 degrees  is possible, but based on these photos you have about 10-12 liters of fat that needs to be removed to give you a more feminine shape. This will need to be staged for your safety. Your arms do not seem to be large with your current body size and shape, but after the body sculpting they will appear disproportionately large. Another issue is the loose skin that you will have after the liposuction. Although some skin tightening is expected, you will have loose skin on the abdomen. To give you a flat and youthful abdomen, you will need an abdominoplasty later. The back rolls might respond well with Renuvion skin tightening during the liposuction. 1the arms, I normally do separate under local anesthesia with minimal oral sedation the day before or after the body sculpting.
See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Hello and thanks for your question. Based on your photos, you are not good candidate for liposuction. Your body weight is so high for liposuction. If you lose weight, you can get better result after liposuction.

Liposuction of the arms could be done at the same time as 360 liposuction of the trunk. It is much like painting a room in your house where one wall may look OK, but the other 3 definitely need painting. Usually the 3 freshly painted walls look so good that you go ahead and paint the wall that was "OK."

You have several issues going on here.  First, you have a high BMI (Body Mass Index...please google this).  Many plastic surgeons will not consider you a good candidate for liposuction base on your high BMI.  Second, you have a lot of internal fat (visceral fat-this is fat inside the abdomen around the stomach and intestines-cannot be liposuctioned).  
I treat very large patients as long as they do not have any serious other medical conditions.  Lipo 360 would not address the fat under your bra nor the fat of your upper lateral back (from your armpit down).  This areas will not look great after lipo 360.  Your triceps should look fine.
The maximum fat removal allowed is 5000cc's.  You are at least this amount and more.
Diet and exercise is suggested both before and after your procedure.
