I don't feel like my lips are wide enough
Answer: Narrow mouth Hello and thank you for your question. I know you’re unhappy with your mouth but personally I don’t see anything wrong with it. In my opinion I don’t think any kind of surgery is a good idea for you. I would try the filler route before you consider any other option. Fillers aren’t permanent but yield great results. The key with fillers is the person who does the injection, find a good one. Best wishes to you. Dr. T

Answer: LIP FILLER VS LIP LIFT That is a great question, and it is one that is sometimes very hard to sort through. -Lip filler makes the red/purple part of your lip bigger and fuller-A Lip Lift actually decreases the amount of skin between your nose and the red/purple part of your lip, which also give a slight "up-turning" of the red/purple part and makes it look fuller. In general, for young patients I often would steer them towards trying filler first. It is not a permanent decision and less invasive, but also young people are less likely to have lengthening of their lips that occurs with aging. As far as mouth widening procedures, I would not generally recommend this for cosmetic reasons as they can result in significant scarring. I have only performed these for reconstructive reasons. Hope this helps!

Answer: Wide mouth Based on your picture I think you have a normal appearing mouth and you should leave it alone. I don’t know a real procedure that widens the mouth. I suggest leaving good enough alone. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
