In 2 weeks I'm having a lip filler with hyaluronic acid, but to my great misfortune I got a hemorrhoid. My friends told me that this would not be a problem for the placement of the filler, but I still decided to seek a professional opinion. What do you think? Thanks!
Answer: Lip filler medical assessment e.g. Hemorrhoids and prevent/treat complications Hi, Thanks for your question. Lip fillers and derma fillers in general are safe procedures if performed in a clinical environment, by an experienced medical professional i.e. Doctor and well known filler products. If you are considering these medical aesthetic procedures, I would recommend to seek advice of an expert aesthetic doctor with extensive knowledge in facial anatomy and experience to prevent possible complications or treat them in the rare case this happen. Hope this helps, BW Dr Fiore

Answer: While there is no direct link between lip fillers and hemorrhoids, there are certain factors to consider. If you're scheduled to have lip filler with hyaluronic acid and have recently developed a hemorrhoid, it's important to consult with your dermatologist or medical professional before proceeding with the treatment. While there is no direct link between lip fillers and hemorrhoids, there are certain factors to consider. Firstly, if you have a painful or inflamed hemorrhoid, it may be uncomfortable to sit or lie down for an extended period during the treatment. Secondly, certain medications used to treat hemorrhoids, such as blood thinners, may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the lip filler injection process. It's important to disclose your medical history and any medications you're taking to your dermatologist or medical professional prior to the treatment. They will be able to assess your individual case and provide you with personalized advice on whether it's safe to proceed with the lip filler treatment. In general, it's best to wait until the hemorrhoid has healed or resolved before undergoing lip filler treatment. This will help to minimize any potential complications and ensure a safe and successful outcome. Remember, the most important thing is to prioritize your health and well-being. Don't hesitate to consult with a medical professional if you have any concerns or questions about your treatment.

Answer: Lip Filler and Hemorrhoids Hello! I wouldn't see this as a problem unless there was an active infection or another reason from a treating physician. Discuss with your injector to see what is the best course of action. Hope this helps!

Answer: Hemorrhoids and fillers Individuals who are prone to hemorrhoids generally have a genetic predisposition for venous incompetence. this means patients who get hemorrhoids may also be at risk for developing varicose veins. You can lower the chance of developing more hemorrhoids by maintaining high fiber diet using supplements with psyllium husk like Metamucil and not bearing down when you have bowel movements. Having varicosities including hemorrhoids should not exclude you from having fillers. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
