Seeking a very experienced cheek implant surgeon?  There are many surgeons who do this procedure every week or two. Make sure you see a surgeon who can show you several examples of cheek augmentation photographs and meet with their patients to see if you would like the result. 

I am surprised that you can not find an experienced board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your cheek augmentation options. It may be worth of considering visit to a larger urban center where you may have more options. Do as good research as you can before committing yourself to any surgery. Detailed clinical evaluation by an expert should be your first step. Good luck.

Cheeks can be augmented with fillers, fat, sculptra or implants. I suggest you find someone who is a specialist in facial sculpting and does a lot of facial augmentation.  Best, Dr. Emer.

See an experienced doctor who specializes in treating the cheeks and areas around the eyes. Have a couple of doctors evaluate your issues in person to determine who has the approach that sounds best for your needs. Good luck.

Ad it is probably true that the experience in performing cheek implants on a regular basis is more limited to a smaller number of plastic surgeons. Doctors who have the greatest experience with cheek implants use both standard and custom implant designs for their patients.

 A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about being a candidate for cheek implants. Cheek implants are placed for patients who have a flat maxilla and a flat cheek profile. Cheek implants are composed of Silastic and are manufactured in a large variety of sizes such as small, medium, large, and extra large. They're also manufactured in a large variety of shapes, which include malar, sub--malar, and combined.
