Cheek looks fat when I smile. What can I do? (Photo)

Question

I got in a bar fight a year ago and got punched in the face. Now my right cheek looks fat and stuffed when I smile. Also I had dimples and lines on both cheeks, but now the right cheek changed. How can i get right side back to normal? Please and thank you!

First of all, you should seek an opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon who can analyze your asymmetry. An X-ray or CT scan can determine if the bone is fractured and displaced.

I would give it at least 6 months for all of the swelling to resolve following traumatic injury. You should definitely give this time prior to considering any intervention.

I do liposuction for fat cheeks or even use Kybella, a non-surgical correction. These both can be done as an outpatient.

The main issues is that the dimple is asymmetric and the right cheek is slightly fuller.  Dimples can be created surgically but addressing the dimples in your case is unlikely to improve the symmetry.  Your best option is the add some filler to the left side to make it more symmetrical.  This can be done with a temporary filler to make sure you like the results.  Fat injections can be done later (permanent).  1 year after the injury is sufficient time to wait.  Best wishes.
