Left butt implant feels uncomfortable. What can I do about this?

I had butt implants inserted 5 months ago and got 712 CC. For some reason my left butt cheek I can really feel the implant on the side and after sitting and getting up it is an uncomfortable feeling to where I feel the implant but eventually goes away when I stand.my right side is completely fine. My Dr prescribed me gabipenton but its not helping, and its not really a pain feeling its more of an uncomfortable feeling as to where i want to push the implant or something... i dont know. Helppppp.

Regarding your ability to easily feel the left implant, photos and more information is necessary before providing any feedback. Were your implants placed completely within the muscle (ie. intramuscular) and what is the shape of your implants? Regarding the left implant feeling uncomfortable when sitting down, although it is not common at 5 to 6 months postop, it definitely can happen whereby the implants are still settling into place and swelling is still present at the microscopic level thus creating some discomfort while in certain positions, especially sitting. There are other medical regimens that may be tried but you would have to first clear these with your operating surgeon. Glad to be of help.

Considering that you put most of your body weight on the implant when you’re sitting I’m not surprised patients have uncomfortable sensations with this procedure. The number of patients who get a quality outcome without side effects or any long-term negative sequelae from gluteal augmentation is low.And then since it’s a high-risk procedure with a high failure rate.Weather what you describe as a failure or simply one of the many undesirable side effects of having gluteal implants this is a bit what do you sign up for when you get gluteal implants.It also sounds like you opted for a bigger implants which have higher complication rates.You can follow up with your provider but unless you want him to revise the surgery there isn’t anything he can do.There’s a reason most plastic surgeons in the United States don’t offer this procedure.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
