Bruising and pain at incision site 9 nine months post-op butt implants - what should I do?

I had butt implants 350cc placed under the muscle nine months ago by another surgeon in LA. My left side healed perfectly while my right side has gone through periods of feeling more full and red bruising by incision site. This side is also painful to sit down on because I can feel the implant most of the time. I’ve gotten a cat scan to rule out fluid collection. My doctor said it could be a flare up but lately it’s been constant. what should I do and what do you think it is?

Based on the posted photos, you have recurrent cellulitis until proven otherwise. The aggressive treatment is implant removal, 6 weeks course of IV antibiotics. Then re insertion of implant after 3 months. The minimally invasive option is OZONE therapy for 2 weeks with IV antibiotics. If no reoccurrence in 6 months you are cured. But if reoccur either try this non invasive plan or go to surgery. Fees for non invasive OZONE $10,000. Best to virtual consult with...

The redness of your skin is a concern. If it’s been the same for several months then it is most likely not a bacterial infection. If your doctor can’t figure out the problem then consider consulting with other specialist. You may want to consider a consult with a dermatologist and consider a skin biopsy of the area that’s having the symptoms.

Hi and welcome to our forum!From your photos I note a significant area of redness at the superior-medial aspect of the right buttock.As this phenomenon is associated with pain, it suggests the probability of an underlying infection. A negative CT scan does not rule out the presence of an infection. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "flare up"...This has happened before? Revisit your plastic surgeon as soon as possible for reevaluation and probable treatment.Best wishes...
