I had butt implants done a year ago but after inflammation whent down i had a crease on my butt . The doctor said i just need a bbl to cover it up. On one side you can't tell i have an implant but on the other its very noticeable. Is this fixable? Should I trust this doctor?
Answer: BBL to cover visible butt implant There is a reason that one implant looks good in one implant does not. In other words, the visible implant needs to be removed and repositioned into a total intramuscular pocket. Fat grafting (aka “BBL) will never fix this, period.

Answer: Hello You need to remove the implants, it look a they are place in the wrong plane, the fat transfer won’t help with that

Answer: Why must plastic surgeons don’t offer gluteal implants The great majority of plastic surgeons in the United States do not offer a gluteal implants as a procedure. Most are happy to do the great majority of standard cosmetic surgical procedures but few actually engage in actively doing gluteal implants. It’s not that plastic surgeons don’t like doing surgery or making money. The reason we don’t do the procedure is because it has a very high complication rate, failure rate, revision rate and low patient satisfaction rate. Gluteal implants can give good outcomes but even if done by a surgeon who can deliver quality outcomes the procedure still has a high complication rate. To get quality outcomes patients must first and foremost find a board-certified plastic surgeon who knows how to do the procedure well consistently. Since most plastic surgeons don’t perform the procedure this may require traveling though I generally recommend staying local whenever possible. The best results seem to come from providers who placed implants intramuscularly and not on top of the gluteus muscle. implants need to be appropriately sized to fit inside the gluteus muscle and using larger implants then will fit the anatomy increases complication rates. You implant positioning is way off and there is no hope for salvaging this with fat transfer. Your best options are to either have the implants removed or have them repositioned in the appropriate correct anatomic location which they are currently not. My vote goes towards having the implants removed and consider excepting your bottom the way it is or consider fat grafting a.k.a. BBL. There are a handful of plastic surgeons who specialize in gluteal implants who sometimes respond on this forum. You could communicate with one of those providers and get more insight into what it would take to maintain having gluteal implants and what it would require to re-operate and have them placed in the right position. In the end your surgeon is responsible for the outcome of the procedure and you are responsible for choosing that surgeon. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Buttock implant displacement Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note supero-lateral slippage of your buttock implants. The margins of the implants are quite noticeable suggesting subcutaneous placement. 15% of cosmetic surgeries may require a secondary revision. The implants must be repositioned (under the Gluteus musculature or its fascia), the lateral aspects of the implant pockets closed with sutures (capsulorraphy), and the medial aspects reopened. Revisit your surgeon for reevaluation.Best wishes...
