Hi, I have been doing research and having a hard time understanding if temple filler will interfere with the contour of my cheek. I'm looking to mostly widen my forehead a little bit, on the temple and lateral sides, but I don't want the filler to affect my natural cheek contour and don't want to add filler to my cheeks to compensate. Any insight would be greatly appreciated xx
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: How temple augmentation may achieve your desired aesthetic Thank you for submitting your question. Augmenting the temple region of the face with dermal fillers is an excellent way to address the loss of fat in this area. Volumizing the temples with injectable fillers may improve the facial architecture and balance proportions to align with the rest of your face. If administered correctly, temple filler should only complement your natural cheek contours to result in a more symmetrical aesthetic. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, qualified injector who can understand your goals and concerns and suggest the best treatment for you.

Answer: All about proportions Thank you for your question. Temple filler is a very common procedure, and it shouldn't impact the contour of your cheek. However, by adding volume to the temple, there is the possibility that the cheek won't appear as prominent. As long at the filler is placed carefully and with a reasonable volume, your cheeks should remain defined. I hope that's helpful! -Dr. P

Answer: Can temple filler make you lose cheek definition? Temple filler should only be done if you have a deficiency in the area. Adding filler into the temples will cause natural blending between the cheekbone and the temple area. Otherwise, you can appear skeletal or have a "peanut head". This can make your cheeks look less defined but the overall look should be better.

Answer: The rules are filling out temples Most of the time the temples need to be filled out if they’re showing unusual hollowing in the area. This can occur either because of a medical condition or natural process of losing Volume in the face. In order to determine whether or not you should have your temples filled out you need to be evaluated by Plastic Surgeon or at least submit a good set of photographs. When properly filling out the temples, it should not detract from a nice set of cheeks. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery
