This is now a common occurrence with the product used in my complications clinic. It seems to represent a late inflammatory response where lumps come and go. I see this now everyday referred from other clinics, the first line of treatment is dissolving with hyalase, then treatment with oral or intralesional steroids. If this fails surgical exicision. 

I recommend following up with your injector. If you're unhappy with your results, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question! It could be many other things as well, such as a biofilm, or be totally unrelated to the filler injections.  It is hard to say without an exam and even a biopsy.  Treatment is hyaluronidase, antibiotics if biofilm is suspected, possibly even colchicine or 5FU if vicross is implicated.  There are still a lot of questions about this so you may get several different opinions.  I hope this helps and doesn't cause more confusion!  They main thing is they are treatable and eventually go away.

That’s such a shame, but it can happen several months later. I’m sure you are worried. Your Drs should try putting a needle into the lumps to extrude the product, try a course of steroids and if all this fails then use hyalase (which is the likeliest outcome I’m afraid). Unfortunately it will deflate the lips as it removes your natural hyaluronic acid (HA). It can happen in theory with all HA fillers but anecdotally a bit more often with the Vycross range. 

I would return to your injector for an evaluation.  If it is suspected that the bumps are product, they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

have you followed up with your injector ? They should be able to determine what the hard bumps are and how to proceed. If they are filler, they can be dissolved. Best of luck! 

There are actually some studies in the literature detailing delayed nodule formation after injections with vicross technology products.  No one knows why they occur, but it may have something to do with the enzymes used in the cross linking process.  Usually they eventually go away on their own but may "rev up" when the immune system is stimulated. (if you get sick, have a wound etc.)
