Deep tissue massage after butt implants with scoliosis. Thought?

Although there has not been a research study performed on this question, careful and selected deep tissue massage by a knowledgeable and aware therapist has not caused any implant damage on any of my previous buttock implant patients.  Light pressure massaging is ok after 6 weeks but a patient must wait at least 12-16 weeks after surgery before deep tissue massage resumes. Hope this helps. 

This is more plastic surgeon preference than anything else.  Deep tissue massage is OK, but I do not think it is mandatory.  Recommend that you follow your board certified plastic surgeon's post-operative guidelines.

Dear Arabella,   Congrats on your decision to have butt implants. Even if you would have had enough fat, it would have been total waste of time and money to get the BBL , because the fat disappears completely or almost completely within months or even sooner.   In regard to massage after surgery, once recovered (6 weeks) you will be able to get massage of the lower back and part of the upper gluts only, because the implants cover the muscles.   Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure tat they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve, nice projection, round hips, single short and low inter glutal incision and natural look.                     Best of luck,                                     Dr Widder                                       

i suggest waiting at least 3 months before having this done. Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known for it.
