Depending on presence of underlying venous insufficiency and symptoms, cost of treatment could be covered by your health insurance depending on your insurance plan. The first step would be to visit a vein specialist so your legs can be examined. A lower extremity venous ultrasound can confirm if an underlying venous insufficiency is causing these changes in your legs and that way the specialist can manage your care and options to treatments and cost. Cost of treating spider veins cosmetically with sclerotherapy, ranges $400-$650 depending on the area. See a board certified vein specialist. Best,
It really depends on the area and how much time and what areas are being treated. Simple treatments with a true sclerosant agent like Polidocanol or Sotradecal can range anywhere from $300-$600 per session. Certain treatment types do require more time and expertise.
The price per session is set in our practice. However, some patients need more than one session as they have a large distribution of spider veins, reticular veins and small varicose veins. Expect to pay to get someone with expertise to do the injections for you (vs someone who you find on Groupon). You must also wear compression stockings after the injections to improve the cosmetic outcome. I recommend microfiber 20-30 mm Hg medical grade compression stockings from VenaSmart. Hratch L Karamanoukian MD FACS
The cost of vein removal depends on where you are located, in which part of the country, the competition in that area and often the experience of the person
The cost varies and is typically based on the amount of spider veins to be treated. In our office most patients have numerous veins and we charge a fee for time spent so ~300 dollars for a half hour.
There are a few ways to treat spider veins. One is using a detergent (sotradecol or polidacanol) which is the most effective (in terms of injections). The other is using surface laser. Either way, the treatment national average ranges from $100 to $400, depending on the areas that need treated. To determine the best treatment method for you, I would recommend you see your chosen provider and discuss the options. It seems from your pictures that these are very fine thread-like veins. These will respond well to either treatment, but I would probably prefer laser given how tiny they are.
The cost of spider vein treatment treatment can vary from physician to physician and state to state. I charge $100 per syringe used with a maximum of $400 per treatment.
There isn't a known correlation between thyroid disorders & spider veins. Venous insufficiency can cause spider veins, due to backed up blood or they can simply be genetic in origin. I would suggest scheduling a vein screening appointment to have a treatment plan individualized and to see if...
Sclerotherapy on the breast is very effective. I would wait 3 months before you sign up for sclerotherapy of the breast veins after breast augmentation. Make sure you use the following topicals to reduce likelihood of hyperpigmentation of the overlying skin. You need to use some adjunctive me...
Thank you for your question in regards to sclerotherapy/spider vein treatment. Typically spider veins are considered a cosmetic treatment and insurance companies are not likely to cover the cost of them. A break down of sclerotherapy would be difficult to give specially, since typically multiple...
Large sized visible veins are best treated with microphlebectomy. Sclerotherapy can leave hemosiderin deposits under the eyes which are not cosmetically appealing. H Karamanoukian MD FACScertified vein specialist (ABVLM) and double board certified surgeon
We do 5-10 sclerotherapy procedures a day and I don't see this type of a problem: blistering. This is an allergic reaction to something, like a bandage or tape. You need to use some adjunctive measures after sclerotherapy to reduce post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. it is those that don't follow...
This may be some sort of vascular malformation that can be addressed with laser, in most cases. I would get an exam with a plastic surgeon or vascular surgeon. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles Vein Expert
