Can I get a BBL done with an Ostomy bag? (Photo)

Question

I have had an Ostomy bag since about 2016 and have felt better than ever. I have had Crohn's Disease since I was 13, now 32. I've never been happy with the shape of my body, even as a younger athlete. Would I still be a candidate for a BBL procedure?

While having an ostomy or Crohn's disease does not necessarily prevent getting a BBL, a trained surgeon requires careful consideration and assessment to evaluate your stability, persistent Crohn's disease symptoms, and overall health. When undergoing a surgical procedure such as a BBL, the stoma area must be carefully evaluated to prevent infection or stoma dislocation. Skilled surgeons, however, can adapt their techniques to accommodate these circumstances. Choose a plastic surgeon who has experience working with patients with complex medical histories or special anatomical needs and specializes in performing BBL procedures. Be clear about your health history and any concerns you may have during your consultation. Inquire about the surgeon's experience with similar situations and how they ensure safety and achieve optimal results.

However, I would not perform abdominal liposuction in your case. Therefore, fat can be removed in other areas (ex: back, thighs, arms). Hello, I think that in your case, you can have a 360° liposuction and improve the contour of your body, but I would not recommend performing a BBL, it is very risky in your case, fat is a very delicate tissue and is very easily contaminated.
