Laser Genesis and for that matter other lasers do NOT add "plumpliness" of the hands. This and other lasers can treat age spots however for the best results pre and post treatment with lightening agents is required.
We have several patients who regularly have "2-Dimensional" laser hand treatments, which couples Laser Genesis with IPL. Laser Genesis is indicated to increase collagen production, while IPL effectively treats pigmentation. Our patients have been pleased with the results they have seen. If your primary concern is to add volume to the hands, we often find that best results come with filler injections. For correction of pigmented lesions, IPL, chemical peels, and lightening topical products are going to be most effective.Best of luck,Dr. Benjamin StongAtlanta, GA
No. I don't think that Laser Genesis is a good option for your hands. It won't restore plumpness and most of the age spots on the hands are deeper than the surface area that this laser treats. You would have better luck with either a filler or fat grafting.
Laser Genesis is a more superficial treatment so it tends to break up very surface pigment issues and redness. On the hands, often times the pigment is much deeper so treatments like IPL or even some liquid nitrogen are needed to get to the deeper pigment problems. For hands treatments I usually do IPL with laser genesis for 2 treatments, followed by liquid nitrogen, and then repeat the series again. If you are looking to replump the hands with volume, fillers would be much better and more impactful than IPL or Laser Genesis. The collagen creation with those are minimal.
