What's most current type of liposuction that I can have in office? This will be my 2nd lipo in 12 years.

I use a combiantion of 3-4 devices every time I do liposuction and typically for revision or secondary cases always using vaser.  I find that vaser gives the most skin tightening, fat removal, and is the best for patients with extensive scarring.  I suggest only goign to a body shaping expert who has pristine technique and a great reputation/online reviews.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Why do you want to have surgery in the office?  Liposuction is a surgical procedure and I believe that for the most optimal results you should have liposuction in a surgery suite with sedation at least.

Twelve years is a long time, and liposuction technology has
improved dramatically since you’ve had it last. Different types of lipo have
different advantages, but without knowing your medical history or goals, it can
be difficult to say which you may be a candidate for.

Having said that, I usually perform AquaShape liposuction
for my patients. This method uses a finely-controllable water spray that
carefully sculpts fat away, providing results that can be far more precise and
effective than traditional tumescent lipo. I recommend it to the majority of my
patients interested in liposuction.

I typically recommend the newest smart lipo laser (Smart Lipo Triplex) for my liposuction cases. It has three lasers that allow one to melt fat, decrease bruising and tighten the skin.  It also makes it a little easier to break up the scar tissue from previous liposcutions.

For me personally, I stay away from the newest generation of equipment until they are time-proven. Liposuction has been around for many years and has been pretty much mastered. New bells and whistles add very little to the procedure. By far the most important variable is who does the procedure. I cannot emphasize this enough. There's an awful lot of bad liposuction going on out there. Much of it is done by rogue players without proper training. If you find a competent provider, then that person will have the appropriate tools to do the job right.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
