Most likely your deformity is related to scar contracture after infected implant was removed. You will need a detailed evaluation by an experienced plastic surgeon to see what options are available to create more symmetric and larger chin. Good luck.

This is most likely scar contracture after your previous chin implant placement and subsequent removal.  You should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.  He/ she should be able to release and excise the scar tissue and perform fat grafting in the area to improve cosmesis. 

Thank you for your picture. Your tissues' response to the infection and subsequent implant they have produced scarring/thickness. This may be giving you the asymmetric look that you do not like. For the best solutions you will need a personal evaluation.

Hi, I have performed many chin augmentations, using a chin
implant, over the past 30 years. From the photos, your chin is very weak
creating an imbalance that makes the nose appear larger, the lower face short
and the mid face appear top heavy. Chin augmentation, using a chin
implant, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the
lower face. I have found placing a silastic chin implant through a small,
curved, incisions under the chin to be very safe, quick, highly effective and
far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty that requires bone cuts with
placement of screws and metal plates.I place the chin implant through a small, curved incision under the chin to avoid just these types of unwanted side effects.  From your note, it sounds like you may have had a hematoma that then setup an infection around the chin implant.  After a year, the tissue should be well healed enough for you to have a silastic chin implant placed through an incision under the chin.  Hope this helps.  

DEar Mynosemylife, The reason that I prefer a sub-mental incision for chin augmentation is that the risk of infection is greatly reduced. I have been performing chin augmentation for over thirty years and I have used a sub-mental incision with no chin implant infections to date. It is very unfortunate you had an infection and your current concerns appear to be scar contracture caused from your infection.
