I had my first Breast Augmentation done about 4 1/2 months ago. He put in 200ccHP silicone under the muscle. My right implant isnt dropping as much. A revision would cost half of the first BA and If I want to go bigger, then it would be more expensive than the first one. I was a 30A , now measuring a 30C. I am 5 ft and 100 lbs and would like implants closer to the 300 range but not over that, as I dont want to be too top heavy . I have read many surgeons work with you on cost as a returning patient.

Any revision is usually more expensive. Ideally your surgeon will help reduce costs as much as possible but lowering an implant that is is too high is not easy always and may take more time than the primary surgery

Thank you for your questions and photographs.  I am not sure as to the procedure that you have been recommended, but your surgeon may be considering the need for breast implant revision work in addition to replacing your implants.  If you were happy with your implant position and it was going to solely be an implant exchange, it is normally the same price or slightly lower than the original augmentation.  Without preoperative photographs to fully assess, your left breast implant looks to have dropped too low on your chest wall, and it's pocket would need to be revised in order to have the implant sit appropriately.  This will be additionally challenging should you wish to place larger implants in at the same time, as the increase pressure on the tissues will challenge the pocket repair.  Speak to your surgeon about the details of the procedure he is planning, that may give you a better idea as to the cost difference.

There are various different reasons for different fees.  One must consider all the costs involved.  Some of those costs have a time variable as well.  So going bigger requires a bit more time as the pocket needs to be made larger to allow room for a larger implant.  I would recommend discussing these fees with your board certified plastic surgeon

There are a number of different fees associated with surgery. These include supplies (breast implants), operating room costs, anesthesia fees, miscellaneous costs such as medications or garments and the surgeon's fee. There is no hard and fast rule that everyone follows in their revision costs. As has been said if you are primarily interested in changing the size of your implants, that may be different than if there is a need for revision for another reason.
