I'm going to be having symmastia surgery to correct skin tenting. My implants are under the muscle, and do not cross the midline. Will permanent sutures be enough to correct this? I'm also switching to a more narrow implant
Answer: Surgery You will also need to go down in size since these implants are too large for your frame. That i why they are tenting up your tissue.

Answer: Surgery for skin tenting A symmastia repair should correct your tenting. Whether this is done with sutures alone or with the addition of a mesh is a decision that should be made by your surgeon, He or she would have had an opportunity to examine you, assess your problem, and determine the proper and necessary procedure. Smaller implants may be suggested as well.

Answer: Surgery for skin tenting Dear MDakota, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Smaller implants Your breasts are wider than the chest wall and are mechanically unstable. You need smaller volume implants as well as narrower base implants. At the same time, you will need a circumareola lift to move the nipple-areola complex higher and more medially. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
