Hello, I am 34 female who is 5’7, my weight lost journey has been a roller coaster for the past 4 years. I started at 265 and I’m now down to 218. My goal weight is 180, my questions for you is what is the best arm reduction for me? I would like my arms to hopefully look like my goal weight photo. I would like to get the procedure done once I hit my goal weight. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Answer: Arm Lift, Possible Chest Wall Extension Based on these pictures, it would seem as if you have an excess of skin relative to fat. The only way to treat this would be skin removal with a formal brachioplasty. While this will leave a long scar, it will correct the contour deformity well. I would recommend losing all of the weight you can prior to pursuing surgery. Also, depending on the amount of skin at the apex of the armpit, you may need an extension of the incision onto the chest wall to get all of the skin out.
