I would to improve the appearance of my baggy, tired-looking eyes. I have had two consultations with Plastic Surgeons, and they gave me two different recommendations: One said CO2 Laser and the other said lower Blepharoplasty (upper if I wanted). What are your recommendations? Male, 46 years old, 210lbs, 5/10", fair skin.

Answer: Eyelids Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photos, I would suggest a lower lid blepharoplasty. Looking at your upper lids, an upper lid blepharoplasty or brow lift will help in taking away the hooded appearance of the upper eyelids. I suggest seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in person to better assess your concerns and needs.

Answer: Upper and Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty Based on your photographs I would recommend an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Trimming out a small amount of excess skin from the upper eyelid can reduce the fullness and make the eyelid less heavy and more open. A transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty can remove the excess fat from the lower eyelid without cutting the skin (internal approach) improving the contour and reducing the bags under the eyes. I also believe you would be a great candidate for lower eyelid fillers to fill in the dark circles under the eyes which could be done at the same time. CO2 laser resurfacing can tighten up the lower eyelid skin but is associate with several weeks of visible redness and generally not ideal for men who do not use make up.
