I would like to get a tummy tuck done but I want to know where the cheapest place is. I live in Lancaster PA and am willing to travel anywhere in PA, also I am looking to only spend no more then $7000.
Answer: Cost of tummy tuck in PA? Thanks for your question!I would strongly encourage you to choose a plastic surgeon based on their skill, certifications, experience, quality of work, etc. Price should not be your number one factor. With a surgery such as a tummy tuck, we only want to do this surgery once so it should be done right the first time. In addition, cost depends on a number of different factors such as facility costs, anesthesia, etc. My recommendation would be to consult with board-certified plastic surgeons in the area and pick a surgeon with whom you feel comfortable and trust. Also, take the time to look at their website and through photo albums because you should like the tummy tuck work that they do! Best wishes!

Answer: Cheapest It probably isn't the best idea to pick your surgeon based on cost. At the cost you are thinking of, it is unlikely that you will receive surgery that is the standard of care for plastic surgeons. Please seek a board certified plastic surgeon for your surgery which will ensure that you get the best outcome from your surgery. If you require a revision from another surgeon after your initial, cheap surgery, your overall cost may be much greater than having surgery from a more expensive surgeon to begin with.

Answer: Where's the cheapest tummy tuck and Pennsylvania? Thank you for your question. I practice in Maryland, so I really don't know where the least expensive tummy tuck in Pennsylvania is.But some thinking for you that I hope will be of help. Research a few doctors in your area and find out how they approach tummy tuck surgery. Is it in patient or outpatient? Do they include liposuction? What are their fees? Each surgeon will have his or her own approach depending upon your needs, and the types of facilities that they use.As you approach this I would strongly suggest that you do not let cost be the most important factor. Choose a surgeon, hopefully a board certified plastic surgeon that has experience with the surgery that you're considering and gives you a good comfort level. A few dollars either way will not help if you're not on the same page and comfortable with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes.

Answer: Where would be the cheapest place to get a tummy tuck in PA? Thanks for the question. When it comes to costs of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure (quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider… are some of the potential variables involved. In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Again, I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. Best wishes.

Answer: Risks of looking for the cheapest rates Hello 'bell88', thanks for your question. I would like to highly caution you not to choose your doctor based on price alone. There is truth to the statement 'Buyer Beware', and if you just choose the cheapest price you can find for your surgery, chances are they are cutting corners somewhere and many times the doctor is not even a real plastic surgeon with minimal to no training. This is your body and health we are talking about, so this should be the last place you try to save money and risk your life on. Since there apparently are no laws that prevent someone from calling themselves a cosmetic surgeon, it is many times up to the patients to do their due diligence and make sure they find a legitimate board-certified plastic surgeon to perform their plastic surgery. Once you do find a list of board-certified plastic surgeons in your area who are active members of ASPS (the American Society of Plastic Surgeons), then feel free to obtain several consultations to see which surgeon you feel most comfortable with. $7000 is a realistic budget that I would say many plastic surgeons, including myself, would feel is a reasonable rate for a tummy tuck procedure. Hope that helps!-Dr.92660
