I've gotten a BBL on Nov. 21, 2014, and the Dr. Made an incision between my cheeks. As of a few days ago from today (12/7/14) the stitches have either fallen off or desolved, leaving an open hole in between my cheeks. Since the location of where it is, it can't seem to heal, I've done my part as to clean it with hydrogen peroxide and applying neosporin, testing it like any other open wound. From my personal experience, it seems the wound isn't healing. Is there any advice on this situation? TY

Answer: Intergluteal Wound Thank you for your question. It seems like you are doing all the right things to get your wound to heal. This area has a peculiar blood supply that can lead to wound healing problems. Continue with the care that you are doing and discuss this matter further with your surgeon.

Answer: Stitches gone with open wound. Are you sure you did not have gluteal implants placed? The inter-gluteal incision is the preferred route for placing the buttock implants below the muscle. If that is the case , and now you have a wound dehiscence, I would highly recommend that you visit your surgeon as implant exposure will most definitely result in implant site infection and need for removal. If you only had fat grafts, the incision site may be more expectantly managed. Although I still highly advise visiting your surgeon regularly. I recommend against the daily use of hydrogen peroxide as it will delay wound healing. Best of luck. Daniel Golshani, M.D., Beverly Hills.
