Hi and thank you for your question regarding lip fillers. Short answer -- yes, you can put 2 ml of juvederm in the lips.Long answer -- if you are an ideal candidate and clearly want to have very full, plump lips, then it is best to be conservative and undergo treatment with 1 ml of Juvederm at a time. I would recommend receiving an initial Juvederm treatment, waiting for the swelling to improve and then following up 2 weeks later for the 2nd ml, if you like the lips even bigger. We can always administer more, but placing too much filler at a single treatment can lead to a suboptimal outcome...Hope this helps.Mark K Markarian, MD, MSPHHarvard-trained Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon
Hello,Thank you for your question. Yes it is possible, however someone needs to be an appropriate candidate. That is a large amount of filler in a small area. This can sometimes cause more downtime. Make sure you are consulting with a reliable physician on the matter. Good luck!
Yes, you can inject 2cc of Juvederm to the lips if you want your lips to be significantly larger. If you have never had fillers to the lips before, you should start with one cc and see how you like it before doubling it. You can easily add more, but it is much more difficult to take it away.
That is a huge amount and not advisable. It is better to start with only 1ml and give it a few weeks before deciding on putting in any more. RegardsDr. Janjua
Hi bradley613,It is certainly possible to put 2 mL of Juvederm in the lips in one session. Keep in mind, though, that there are a number of different types of Juvederm, each with different effects on the lips (e.g., plumping, shaping, hydrating, swelling, etc.). In general, I usually recommend that my patients start with 1 mL, allow any swelling to subside, and then return in 2+ weeks for the 2nd mL, if desired.
Thank you for sharing your question. It is possible to place 2cc of lip filler in a single setting but due to the degree of tissue swelling over the next 24 hours it is usually ill-advised. Start with a single syringe split between your lips and then return for the second syringe 2-4 weeks later. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question bradley613. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance theappearance of the face. Multiple syringes can be used in a single session. In the lips, however, 2 cc is a large amount. I usually recommend that my patients start with one syringe and assess the results after 2 weeks once the swelling subsides. At that point more product can be added if further enhancement is desired. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Kind of a random question. Anything is possible but not necessarily a good idea. Unless you have thin lips, and are looking for a massive transformation, please stick with 1.
It is possible, however there can be a lot of swelling so it is best to wait about a week for the swelling to go down before adding the second syringe!
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is definitely possible to inject 2mL of Juvederm into the lips in one treatment session. That said, I generally recommend a more conservative approach with lip fillers, starting with just 1mL of filler, and adding additional product as needed. It's a lot easier to add volume over the course of a few weeks than it is to remove filler that you don't want. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. Best of luck!
