I had Lipo over 15 years ago. Have a these indentions ever since. I would love to fix them and find someone capable near me if possible. I’m very active and lift 5 days a week. Almost seems like it looks worse the more muscle I put on my legs.
Answer: Outer thighs/hips indentions Dear tiffanyjoy09, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Post lipo depressions / irregularities There are some things that can be done w long lasting injectable fillers to help smooth out irregularities which have resulted from liposuction or even surgical interventions (BBL, Tummy tuck, etc). These are done on an outpatient basis and do not require sedation and the results are noticed immediately.

Answer: Liposuction Revision The definitive correction for liposuction deformities requires the advanced technology of ultrasound assisted VASER liposuction. As an official trainer of VASER liposuction, I encounter suboptimal liposuction outcome referrals weekly. VASER liposuction has been the only modality that has consistently corrected liposuction caused deformities. VASER liposuction ensures a smooth contour regardless of severity of contour irregularities by virtue of being able to remove any and all remaining fat comprehensively and uniformly. Finally, when skin redundancy irregularities are observed, Renuvion technology can be simultaneously applied to tighten your skin to optimize your overall contour outcome. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a VASER specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Collecting poorly done Liposuction I continue to warn people to vet plastic surgeons carefully before having liposuction. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe it. The number of people who have issues or need revisions is pretty significant unless you’re in the hands of someone who has both talent and experience. Secondary procedures are more difficult than primary procedures so now finding the most talented and experienced provider is even more important. Liposuction is a permanent and more or less irreversible procedure. Fat was inappropriately removed and too much was taken out and this is going to be difficult to correct. Most likely grafting fat is going to be the only realistic option though sometimes evening out to contour it was further Liposuction can help and sometimes cutting out the area as a skin tightening procedure can help but these are not appropriate in your case. Fat transfer becomes limited because for the Grafted fat to survive there Hass to be an abundance of host tissue and where you need the volume the most is where you have the least host tissue to support grafted fat. The best approach is typically having multiple series of fat grafting sessions until sufficient volume has been built up and the patient is satisfied. If an attempt is made to graft too much fat in a single session a lower percent of fat survives creating complications with scar tissue and fat necrosis. To find the most talented and experienced provider in your community you need to interview a lot of plastic surgeons. Do this by having multiple in person consultations. At that time ask providers to show their entire collection of fat transfer and revision work before and after pictures. When it comes to fat transfer it’s very important that after pictures are taken at least three months from the date of the procedure. Early fat transfer results can look very impressive but are not at all representative of final results. For most primary procedures are usually encourage patient to make sure each provider can demonstrate at least 50 or more sets of before and after pictures of the procedure and the anatomic region you’re interested in. Highly experienced providers will have much more than that sometimes thousands of before and after pictures for just each procedur and anatomic Area. You may have a difficult time finding someone with that type of collection of revision work so look for providers who are willing to do revision work and seem to have a lot of fat grafting experience and can deliver high-quality lower extremity liposuction results as primary procedures. Avoid providers who claim this is an easy thing to fix or think they can do it with a perfect outcome in a single session. I would be very reluctant to let someone go in and simply do more Liposuction. Lastly read all the reviews on various physician review websites and avoid providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than an abundance of positive reviews. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD
