I've been wanting to get a breast lift for so long now but kept getting scared. I finally went to see Dr John J Obi in Jax fl and scheduled a surgery date. Couple times after scheduling the appointment I almost called and cancelled . I actually wanted to just go home right before they gave me the anaesthesia . I was so scared of my nipples having a star gazing effect . I was worried I would never feel my breasts again. My left side is slightly larger than my right , this was also a worry. I didn't want to walk out of the surgery and regret. I wouldn't want to upset my husband either , he was okay with my breast before the surgery and didn't really care if I go through with it or not. I finally decided I will do it FOR ME ! 1 week before surgery I was diagnosed with strep throat and was placed on antibiotics. Still decided to go through with the surgery while being in close contact with my surgeon about what medication I'm taking. After the surgery I didn't even need to take my hydrocodone . I took tylenol for 3 days and then stopped that too. 4th day after surgery I did some house cleaning and cooking also took a nice shower . After that I started to feel a bit icky but still didn't feel the need of any pain meds. 1 week after surgery I got to see my boobies ! I have full sensitivity of my nipples they are even and symmetric. My breasts are so CUTE and round. They are perky and so youthful! Dr. Obi is so knowledgeable in this field . He is so caring . He is so gentle and reassuring . I am SO GLAD I did this ! I am so glad I found Dr. John J Obi. Dr. John J Obi also did my tummy tuck 1.5 years ago and I cannot be more happy with my results ! He is very professional and knowledgeable! Updated on 20 Oct 2023: After pictures are 1 week post op . Updated on 31 Oct 2023:
Dr John J. Obi is GREAT! (Juvilee.).. i love the results and the staff is great, caring you are taken care of they are excited for you, and with you every step of the way. Jan 31 is the date I had the Face and Neck Firming, along with Upper Eyelid Firming, and the Full Face Laser... I couldn't be more pleased of the results, and I get so many compliments; I would definitely recommend Dr J. Obi ...and the Consultant told me it's an inner experience as well as outward, and so true when you look good on the outside makes you feel better about yourself on the inside as well, so glad i made this decision at 68 it has made such a difference in my life. Thank you Dr J. Obi MD (Juvilee )
Dr. Obi has changed my life and I couldn't be more delighted and appreciative. He corrected two major issues for me and I absolutely LOVE the results!! Things look and feel natural with minimal scars. The whole process was a great experience and made me feel very comfortable. His office staff is extremely helpful and friendly and he is professional and caring, truly passionate about his work and very skilled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I am reading other posts about capsular contraction. I had bi-lateral mastectomy in June of 2016. Wore the expanders till November and had my reconstruction done. (CHEMO ended in May 2016) however I still had my port in due to cancer called HER2. In April of this year I had port removed and also what we thought was just a small node, it came back positive for the Estrogen Positive Carcinoma. So 7 days later I had 14 lymph nodes removed. Negative, but the process was now to do radiation, I had a scheduled vacation with my grandsons, doctor told me go ahead and I would start 33 rounds of radiation when I came back. While I was on vacation, rock climbing , parting driving through Arizona and New Mexico, my right breast swollen very bad and I was running a temp of 99-100. The day I returned my doctor put me in hospital for 4 days, I had an infection. I believe this is where my breast went rouge!! I am done with Radiation I got a second opinion because my Plastic Surgeon wasn't given me any "light" at the end of tunnel, I am in pain constantly, hard to sleep, 2nd Doctor told me to wait 6 months and come back and we can talk surgery. Now I am reading about massaging it, pills I could have took, I am currently taking 400 units of Vitamin E 4 times a day. I am single, a grandmother of 5 and my y0oumngest is 3 months. I have image issues, I can't wear a bra, and every shirt unless I wear a huge tshirt, shows my lopsided breasts. I will post pic at another time
I had three pregnancies which stretched my belly out and did some damage to my belly piercing... When I had my belly ring in it would just sag. I hated it, I couldn't wear high waisted jeans without feeling insecure because my belly piercing looked awful! I tried taking my belly ring out but it looked ten times worse. I've been looking everywhere for a dr that can do this surgery.. I have been turned down before because it wasn't "that bad" but I finally found a dr that was comfortable doing it. I had a consultation and scheduled my appt a week later. It was an in-office procedure which the whole thing took about thirty minutes to complete. The numbing wasn't bad. I felt a little of the cutting on my right side but Dr. Obi numbed me up some more. He did an amazing job at keeping me distracted and his nurse/surgical tech were very sweet as well. I was able to manage the pain with OTC meds and go into work the same day. I'm 4 days post-op and I finally took off my bandage! It looks soooooo good so far I can't wait to get everything cleaned off and stitches out! I'm actually nervous about getting my stitches out on Friday :( I wonder if it hurts! Updated on 16 Feb 2016: I think the only thing that's bothersome is the stitches poking me throughout the day...& the mild itch, but i know that's normal since it's healing. I've been keeping it dry and wear 2x2 gauze and tape over it when I'm wearing a shirt that covers my midriff cuz the stitches tend to snag on my shirt. I just called the office to see if it was ok for me to put some neosporin on it and they said to put a thin coat of bacitracin on it and I should be fine! It seems like there's still a bit of bruising around my stitches..(which I hope it is cuz i would hate that area to be permanently darker than the rest of my belly complexion) it's still a little uncomfortable to sleep on my side but I can manage...I haven't taken any aleve for two days! I might take some before I go to work today though. I'm experiencing random sharp pains that I've felt before when I got my nipples re-done.. I figured that's how I know my skin is healing back together when I feel the quick 2-3 second sharp pain at the site. It's bearable...it's just not fun feeling it. I can't wait to get all of the purple marker and residual tape off of me - it's so hard removing it! I'm loving my results so far!!!! I can't stop staring at it! No more sag! All I need to do is tone up!!! I can't wait to get my belly pierced again :D Doc said I can get one just in time for summer! Woohoo! This was totally worth it :)
I'm 59 years old and I would recommend a Lifestyle Life to anyone that wants to look younger and feel better about themselves. I am so totally amazed at how the procedure made me look and feel. Dr. Obi is not only a doctor, but he is an artist. All the members of Lifestyle Life were fantastic. The outcome is amazing. If you want to look younger and feel better about yourself, have a Lifestyle Life.
I am 58 and recently widowed but not ready to retire socially. I had a sagging neck area due to weight loss, but still somewhat attractive. I decided to go with Lifestyle Lift at the center in Jacksonville, Fl., and am extremely happy I have done so. The entire center staff from receptionist, financial aid, techs, surgeon and office manager were all very understanding, helpful and professional. The financing was arranged in order to benefit my budget. The initial observation and review, the procedure and aftercare follow up were outstanding. So now I am 3 months out of the surgery, about totally healed and my life has changed so much. I decided to join an online dating website for singles over 50 and my dates have been over scheduled to say the least. I have been dating a very nice person for about two months and the only downside is that I lost a few girlfriends - lol! Updated on 11 Jul 2013: I am so happy to have had this procedure. It is the same as the expensive plastic surgery, done in the same manner with the best results at a lower cost, less downtime and very happy results.
I have always had bigger breast, I was okay with it until I lost over 100 pounds and the "friends" didn't go anywhere. I went from a 44DDD to a 36DDD & F (right breast). Soooo, I cant say it was due to my weight. I get severe muscle spasms, burning sensations under my shoulder blade and hopefully this will alleviate my headaches. I eat pain pills and muscle relaxers like m&m's. I am just tired of struggling with them and am ready for a better quality of life. I went on Oct 14 for the initial consult, insurance submitted (Aetna) and denied. Unfortunately, the doctor did not submit the required grams according to some scale the insurance company uses. The denial was appealed, reviewed and reversed. I am scheduled for my Breast Reduction on 1/13/2012, yeah Friday the 13th is my lucky day :) Updated on 29 Dec 2011: i am soooo disgusted right now, so i called my PS office to ask if i could schedule the pre-op stuff of this week since i am off. I was advised they would be calling that day to confirm the 1/13 date....WTW??? I thought is was already confirmed for the date...she called me back and advised me they are booked for that day and they could get me in on 1/16 or 1/17 and i know that doesn't seem like much of a difference...but to me its a big deal, I had already set up my support system...we are working people over here and I don't have alot of people that can be with me on weekdays..i know it sound like i am whining nonetheless i will deal with it..i just needed to vent. Updated on 4 Jan 2012: Well I received a phone call today from the doctors office and was totally not prepared for them to tell me my surgery is now scheduled for 1/12!!! I feel like I have no time....but I am so ready for this, Yes I am nervous and unsure but the thought of not having muscle spasms and pain far outweighs the nervousness. Just wanted to update you all with my new surgery date.
Thank you for your inquiry and photos. A detailed examination would be required to determine whether a tummy tuck is the best procedure for you with attention to the abdominal area above the navel. If there is sufficient laxity in that area the tummy tuck might be the best choice. I suggest you have a consultation w a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area to determine the best approach for you. Good luck.
Thank you for your inquiry and photos. You would definitely benefit from a full tummy tuck w muscle repositioning. The skin laxity especially above the navel would require this. In my opinion anything short of this would not yield an adequate correction. If you do not plan on having more children you should seek consultations w Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in your area for a detailed examination and discussion. Good luck.
Thank you for your inquiry and photos. Unfortunately you have an undesirable result as a consequence of your liposuction procedure. It appears that you would really benefit from an abdominal lipectomy ('tummy tuck'). I suggest that you seek consultation w a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area where a complete evaluation and treatment plan can be achieved. Good luck going forward.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INQUIRY AND PICS. BASED ON THE PICS IT IS APPARENT THAT YOU DEFINITLELY WILL REQUIRE A LIFT PROCEDURE BECAUSE OF THE DEGREE OF SAGGING THAT YOU HAVE. THIS CAN BE COMBINED W THE AUGMENTATION BUT ONLY DOING AN AUGMENTATION WOULD RESULT IN A 'BALL IN A SOCK' APPEARANCE IN MY OPINION. GOOD LUCK!
Thank you for your inquiry and photo. The prominent skin fold in your photo is not typically what is expected as a result of the liposuction. At minimum a mini-tummy tuck should improve on the appearance. A full tummy tuck might be appropriate depending on a physical exam. Good luck.
