Additional filler may be added, or Hyaluronidase can be injected to remove the filler. To be sure what is best for you, see two
or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to
make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have

you for this question. Swelling tends to persist for at least several days
after lip augmentation in some cases. The lopsidedness you reference is not too
noticeable, but I understand your concern. If you still see some unevenness
after a week, you do have some options. JUVÉDERM can be dissolved with an
enzyme called hyaluronidase, and your lips will return to their natural
appearance. Or, you may ask your injector to balance the appearance of your
lips with a conservative injection of more filler. You should do this only if
you are confident in the technical skill and aesthetic sense of your injector.
If not, I suggest finding a qualified injector for a second opinion. Best of

Thank you for your questions and photos.  It is very early to tell the outcome of your lips.  I recommend giving a full two weeks for everything to settle.  If nothing has resolved by that time I would go back to your injector for a follow up.  There is a reversal for Juvederm called Hyaluronidase that can be injected into the lip.  Best of luck to you

Being such a short time since you injection I think it is too early to undertake definitive treatment for this asymmetry.  Generally speaking two weeks is the minimum time that I would recommend waiting.  Intense massage over the full areas probably would help.  Later correction by hyaluronidase enzyme injection or plumping the opposite side to achieve balance might be necessary.

Thank you for your question.  I agree there appears to be some unevenness, that being said, I would wait a week or two for the swelling to go down and then reevaluate your lips, if you are still unhappy at that point follow up with your physician for further evaluation and management including possibly adding more filler or dissolution and sculpting with hyaluronidase.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
