Hey, this is my first time getting lips ever filled, normally I have very small lips so I understand this is swelling, however it's very one sided. I got 1ml, yesterday after the injections the swelling went out down still seemed lopsided, however over night the swelling has doubled again and there are very obvious lopsided points. Will this even out? Is it just my lips being more sensative at certain points? Also how can I help the healing process?
Answer: Swelling After Lip Injections Thank you for this question. Swelling tends to persist for at least several days after lip augmentation in some cases. The lopsidedness you reference is not too noticeable, but I understand your concern. If you still see some unevenness after a week, you do have some options. JUVÉDERM can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, and your lips will return to their natural appearance. Or, you may ask your injector to balance the appearance of your lips with a conservative injection of more filler. You should do this only if you are confident in the technical skill and aesthetic sense of your injector. If not, I suggest finding a qualified injector for a second opinion. Best of luck.

Answer: Lopsided lips Thank you for your questions and photos. It is very early to tell the outcome of your lips. I recommend giving a full two weeks for everything to settle. If nothing has resolved by that time I would go back to your injector for a follow up. There is a reversal for Juvederm called Hyaluronidase that can be injected into the lip. Best of luck to you
