Do doctors charge for Juvederm lip touch ups after two weeks

You should be honest with your Doctor and look at some of your before and after pictures for comparison. If you have bumps, they will likely be smoothed out at no charge, but for additional fullness, you should expect a charge, but can discuss the amount with the office.

Every doctor is different. Generally, most will charge the cost of the syringe for touch ups. I would suggest that you call your doctor's office and discuss. Bottom line, he or she is going to want you to be happy with your results. Best, Dr. Nazarian

If 2 weeks has passed and more filler is needed or additionally contouring, then I suggest getting more placed, this is usually an additional fee in my practice if more is needed to get to a specific end result.  If there are major irregularities and lumps, you should reverse the filler and consider a different filler, injector, or technique.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi, I guess the answer to this question varies from physician to physician, but typically, I do not.  In fact, I almost always counsel my patients, especially for lips, that there may be some unevenness and I usually save a very small amount of product (and leave it in the fridge) to use if needed at their follow up.  It's easy to need some small touch ups, as it can get tough to tell symmetry after the swelling and massaging kicks in.  Hang in there, and go see your original injector to at least point it out and see if they see what you see.

Unfortunately there are many patients out there who try to scam services or who have unrealistic expectations that have made some physicians tighten up their policies regarding touch ups.If you have product left over from your previous visit that was kept specifically for this reason it is likely there will be no charge. If a new syringe is needed I would expect you will be charged.I would get back in to review your before and after pictures with your doctor and talk about your goals. If you are happy with the size of the upper lip (and maybe a touch more could even out what you are noticing) but need more in the bottom for a proportion that you prefer, it may be that you just need more product. Because she injected fewer timer in the lower lip doesn't necessarily mean less product was placed here. If you feel your upper lip is way too full (which it doesn't sound like) the product here can always be dissolved, leaving your lower lip fuller.I believe the best results are often gained when a followup is scheduled 2-4 weeks out for either a touch up or planned placement of more product, especially when treating a new patient. The majority can cancel if they are happy, but it provides the chance to fine tune.I would suggest that the nicer and more reasonable you are, the better you will fare in this situation.Good luck!

Most physicians do charge for follow-up's at subsequent appointments if they will be injecting.  I usually wait at least 2 weeks then reevaluate the patient to see what they need or if they needed another product.

Most doctors charge for touch-ups, at least the cost of the syringe. Next time, make sure the injector knows what you want exactly. Setting the right expectations for outcomes is the best advice.
