Fillers can be a great way to restore volume and reduce the appearance of folds and lines. Depending on the patient and the amount of filler used, swelling can last up to 2 weeks. This swelling is most dramatic around the mouth and eyes when present. If after 10 days, the area is still impacting your smile, the filler can be reduced or dissolved completely using hyaluronidase. Give it a little more time. Best of luck.
Dear lewjr63,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. You will have swelling for 1-2 weeks following injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement for laugh lines. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Yes, swelling can be typical following filler injections. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
With any type of fillers, it can take up to two weeks for swelling to resolve and for the fillers to settle. If you still have not achieved the desired results, please have a consultation with a Board Certified Dermatologist to determine the next plan of action.
Bruising and swelling is common after injections and can take up to two weeks to resolve. The look will soften with time. If you still have concerns after that time return to your injector for an evaluation. If desired, hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the product.
Give yourself another week or so and see how it goes, if you're happy do nothing, if on the other hand you do not, you may want to talk to your doctor about other options. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your question. It has only been 6 days since your injection. Generally, I tell patients that it takes at least 2 weeks for them to see the true results of dermal fillers. After 2 weeks, most of the swelling has gone down and you can judge the results. If you don't like the results after 2 weeks, you should return to your injector for evaluation. I hope this helps. Regards, Dr. DiPasquale
Hi DearIt is very natural to have bruising and swelling afterr injection wait couple of weeks, use arnica to decrease bruising and swelling. Most often you gonna love your own look.Thank youRamtin Massoudi, MD
The problem is that you look goofy and unnatural to yourself. Certainly not to me. Some may be due to swelling and some due to the newness of the look. In any event you need to wait a while before doing anything as swelling will diminish, the activity of the muscles will redistribute the product and you will get used to the look.
As long as the fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Sometimes it can take multiple treatments for the fillers to fully dissolve. Have a consultation with a Board Certified Dermatologist to determine what treatment will give you your desired and safest...
Bruising after injection of #fillers is not uncommon; it is partly luck of the draw as to whether the injector can safely avoid all superficial veins during injection. While we always are trained to look for the vessels, some are not visible through the skin and other factors (medications,...
This may be due to your filler placement, but it is unlikely that it migrated. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results. If you're unhappy with your results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps.
