Im interested in having labiaplasty. I’m 7 month pregnant. When should I have the surgery after birth? Will anesthesia impact my breast milk? I willl be pumping. WWill the procedure combine with anal skin tag removal? What other procedures for vaginal rejuvenation can labiaplasty go with at the same time? Thank you!

Answer: You should postpone till you're finished breast feeding Hello Sunkiss21, Great question! I get this question all the time. I encourage you to breast feed for as long as you want to and then once you're having normal menses and remote from your postpartum phase you may then undergo a safe, properly planned and timed procedure. If you are finished having children then you may have a vaginoplasty at the time of your labiaplasty. Best of luck,

Answer: Labiaplasty after childbirth Congratulations on your up coming birth. From a tissue healing standpoint, 3 months after delivery should be ample time to wait prior to scheduling your procedure. However, there are multiple factors you should consider prior to scheduling your labiaplasty. The most important is...Are you properly prepared for your post operative recovery? It is important for you to have plenty of food available so that you won't have to leave the house for a few days. With the Trim method it is important to have little to no activity including driving for at least three days. If having a wedge procedure, I would add two more days for a total of five days with little to no activity. Here is a list of items you may want to purchase prior to your surgery. Peri-bottle (to keep the area clean after restroom breaks), ice packs, Telfa pads to prevent the sutures sticking to underwear/maxi pads, disposable underwear (you could always buy a few pairs of “granny panties”), Tucks pads (nothing worse than TP getting stuck to your incision lines), Dermoplast spray (for itching and superficial pain), inflatable ring cushion, 5 Cu-3 hydrating cream, and Arnica (a homeopathic medication used to help with swelling and bruising). Most physicians that are skilled in labiaplasty perform this procedure under local anesthesia thereby adjudicating your concerns regarding anesthesia and breast milk. Lastly, you can combine just about any female cosmetic procedure with labiaplasty such as perineoplasty, vaginoplasty, majoraplasty, Orgasm shot, and laser therapies. Best of luck! Answer: Labiaplasty after child and breast feeding. I usually instruct my patients that they have to be at least 6 months after delivery. I would suggest that if you are still nursing that you discard the milk produced for 2 days after the procedure. Many other vulvar and vaginal procedures can be done at the same time that you are having a labiaplasty
