How can I stop my nostrils to flare when I smile? I feel like I look like a completely different person when I smile... Can Botox fix this nasal flare?

Yes, the nasal flare can be lessened with Botox or other neuromodulator.  Typically this will last 2-4 months and will have to be repeated to maintain optimal results.  Please be sure to have an experienced cosmetic surgeon do this since not all injectors know how to do this area.

Thanks for your question. 
Botulinum toxin can improve nasal flare but only in dynamic action, usually not in static position.  Botulinum toxin relax the muscles that pull the nostrils laterally and so reduce the nasal flare.

Hi there,
Botox can be done to reduce to nasal flaring. 1-2 units on either side of the nurse into the dilator naris muscle to reduce nasal flaring. That being said, there will be some residual nasal flaring because there are muscles around the mouth that attach into the nose that are also responsible for nasal flaring. Those muscles cannot be injected because they can change your smile.

Hi, Neurotoxins such as Botox or Xeomin can be injected to control and relax the dilator muscles of the nose. This will reduce the width of the nose and tame down movement of the nostrils when you smile. It’s beautiful when nicely corrected. Most people see results 3-10 days and last about 3-4 months.
