Does Kybella make your Jowls look worse or larger.

We have been using Kybella to dissolve the fat in jowls as an off-label use and it works great.  It helps define the jawline and in combination with fillers along the jawline can make people look both younger and thinner by sharpening the jawline.As a trainer for Kybella, I have found it to be a great permanent solution for submental fat (under the chin) and fabulous in helping reduce jowls for many patients.

Kybella is good for fat under the chin and won't make the jowls appear larger. Kybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks.  Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days.  The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Hope this helps.

I don't recommend Kybella for jowls. A combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the jowls themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert.
