Hello and thank you for your question. Liposuction can be performed following injection with Kybella. I would recommend ultrasonic assisted (Vaser) liposuction following injection with Kybella or cases were liposuction has been performed previously to break up the fat. If you skin laxity, dermal tightening can be Corrected with Renuvion powered by J plasma for more definition of the chin and jaw line.I would recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of plastic surgery to review your optionsI hope this helps. Best wishes! Andrew Lyos M.D. FACS
Yes, you can still do Liposuction after Kybella. Using a laser to break up the fat, such as SmartLipo, can help in secondary cases or after Kybella.
Without pictures it will be hard to tell if you are a good candidate for smart lipo to the chin/jowls. Most often the answer is yes, most patients that I see in my office did not get the results that they anticipated with Kybella and seek a consultation for smart lipo to the chin. Seek a consultation and your doctor can give you options.
Yes you can certainly get lipo on the chin provided you're at least 3 months out from Kybella. Smart Lipo or VASER lipo are both reasonable options. The other great thing that's new on the market now is FaceTite, which tightens the skin 30% more than either of the other two options and is also minimally invasive and can be combined with lipo!
Hello april0513,The use of Kybella does not preclude the eventual use of liposuction or Smart Lipo. Liposuction is a little more invasive than Kybella but still an in office procedure. It is also more customizable since Kybella cannot go as far laterally. I would recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon to learn more about your options. I hope this helps and good luck.
Hi ryannnbrowwn,Kybella is FDA-cleared for submental fat. It's also used successfully for bra fat but a full breast reduction is not guaranteed safe, may not be economical, may cause too much swelling and produce uneven and lumpy results. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
Thank you for your question! I tell my patients to expect swelling and jiggling for 2-4 weeks. Numbness lasts about 6 weeks. And then there are lumps and bumps for up to 8 weeks as well. Swelling does not fully resolve for a few months so i don't re-inject for a few months. Best of luck!
As Kybella acts locally, ingesting the dye should not interfere with your Kybella treatment at all. Just let your doctor know beforehand and you should have nothing to worry about.
