Hair Concealer vis-a-vis hair transplantation

Question

I did my hairtransplant "FUE" method 4 months back. I haven't achieved the desired results of thickness. I have been using toppik 6 weeks post transplant. Will it affect my transplant as toppik covers the scalp? Thanks in advance.

Dear bapibehera,

Thank you for posting this question. Yes, it is fine to use the toppik fibers on your transplanted area. Once the grafts heal in at about 10-12 days, one can start to use the fibers. It will not affect the results from your hair restoration procedure. I hope you find this information helpful to you.

Toppik will not affect the transplanted hairs.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see results after a hair transplant surgery.

You probably won't see significant growth results until 6 months, maybe even 8 or 9. Using Toppik or other hair concealers in the meantime is perfectly fine and won't affect your transplant. Really at 4 months you can do any normal activity and use any hair products without worrying about the transplant.

Products such as topic could be used 2 weeks later from the surgery,after all the scabs are off. By now it will not affect the transplanted hairs.

At 4 months you may not see any growth. You will have to wait at least 8 months to see 80% of the growth to styling length.
