Hello, I had a FUE (1800gr) a 1 month ago. At week 4 post op, I noticed I have flaking in front and on the entire forehead. I had SD long time ago, but in small areas. Now is much more. When I did my FUE, I haven't SD and my scalp was clear. Now I'm very afraid that my FUE will be unsuccessful. I connected my doctor, and he told me to go to a dermatologist. What is that shampoo that can cure the SD without damaging the new FUE follicles? Can SD affect the new follicles after 4 weeks post op?

no, SD does not affect the new follicles after 4 weeks post op....flaking in front and on the entire forehead is just because in effective mecanical cleaning /wasing of your head . it is just because of your fear of loosing transplanted hair if you make a pressure over transplant area .All scabs/flakes should be cleaned with pressured (not gentle) massage to transplant area  after 2 weeks .Dont forget that you may wash your head with normal pressure and if you need you can use a soapy wet towel for massage the scubby area, it Works very well to remove scubs .Patient may feel free to loosen any scabs on his/her head by massaging and that will not  damage the grafts after 2 weeks .

Seborrheic Dermatitis will not impact either hair loss nor hair transplants in any way.  It is best to control this with a good shampoo
