Answer: Implant size Dear Genius458638, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Implant volume and cup size At your size, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. From this, you can compute the volume required to achieve your desired goal. 325 cc implants will take you up 3 cup sizes. 500 cc implants will take you up 5 cup sizes. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implants This size looks very pretty on you now and will be a great size when you are older. The 500 cc implants may be too large and heavy for your tissue and frame and will stretch and thin your own tissue even more. Consider just going up to 400/450 cc's at the most. Plus, at DD's, you will find clothing, especially dresses, challenging to buy. Also, when breasts are too large, like DD's, you will look fatter.

Answer: Up sizing Thanks for your photos. In my opinion,DON’T. You have a great result. Don’t risk dosing it for a minor change. You will be able to find a surgeon to do it but. . . Good luck

Answer: Breast augmentation outcomes First and foremost to make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we need to see before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures to ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Personally, I think your breast look exactly perfect. The way they are and my recommendation would be to not go up in size. Breast augmentation outcomes are based on three variables. The first is patient candidacy. This includes variables like breast position on the chest wall, breast, divergence, breast shape, etc. etc. The second variable is implant selection in regards to size shape and type. The third variable is the surgeons ability to put the implants in the correct anatomic position. In regards to these, your candidacy for breast, documentation appears to be ideal. Implant selection was also done well and it looks like your surgeon did a great job with the procedure. The most common reason for patients to have problems with breast augmentation and need revision surgery is using excessively large implants. I cannot emphasize enough How many problems patient encounter because they went big on the implants. As soon as the implant is larger than the natural breast diameter, the IMF has to be opened, and this increases the chance of implants bottoming out. The pectoral muscle can no longer support the weight of the implant, and the skin envelope becomes stretched out. All of these things add up To augmentation problems that require a revision surgery with things becoming more complex and more difficult Eventually, some patients eventually fail breast augmentation. A lot of these problems could’ve been simply avoided by leaving good enough alone, and not going with implants that are larger than the breast diameter. My best clinical recommendation would be to leave everything the way it is. If you are unhappy with your breast augmentation outcome then maybe you need to spend more time looking at your before pictures. You’re young and I’m guessing you want to keep these for the long-haul. Be smart. Stop while you’re ahead. Implant envy is a real thing.
