Hi,    It is definitely possible to transplant in your upper lip scar. The scar needs to be soft and mature to do so. Hair from the beard(shadow area) will give the most natural look. More than one sitting may be required to give a good density.

This can be a really gratifying procedure. It is very much possible to transplant hair into the moustache area and also within scars. Scar tissue can present some challenges because of its texture and blood supply and therefore we tend to graft at a slightly lower density to optimise graft survival. This can mean than the chances of repeat procedures to add density may be higher than when transplanting into non-scarred skin. I usually take the donor hair from the "shadow area" under the chin using FUE (rather than scalp donor hair) because this most closely matches the calibre and colour of the course moustache hair.
