Can I have a tummy tuck and breast lift with AV BLOCK?

Not at a surgery center. I doubt you will find a surgeon willing to do this because of increased risk. If you do, I would ensure to have the surgery at a hospital.

You would need to have your procedure performed in a hospital setting and have a pre-operative evaluation by anesthesia (along with cardiology clearance which you have already received). From a surgical standpoint, if you were deemed low risk for anesthesia and cardiac complications then I don't see any reason why surgery couldn't be performed. Best of luck. -Dr. Harkins

Your cardiologist's clearance along with the fact that you are in good health should allow you approval to have the tummy tuck and breast lift. Your BMI indicates that losing some 20 pounds would decrease risks of complications during and after surgery and enhance results. You might want to schedule your surgery in a hospital where your cardiologist is on staff for an added measure of safety. Some board certified plastic surgeons will be able to complete the two surgeries in under 6 hours; you might consult with one of them or stage the two procedures.

I appreciate your concerns, however the heart conditions that you describe appear to be benign, especially since your cardiologist has given you full clearance. I do not see any contraindications for mommy makeover surgery, however be certain to make both your plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist aware of your conditions. Best of luck.

as long as your condition is under control and you get a clearance from your doctor, you should be able to get a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

If you have spoken with your cardiologist about your desire for elective plastic surgery and he feels it is safe for you to proceed with surgery, you should be fine. Be sure to discuss your medical history with your board certified plastic surgeon. Lowering your BMI would also be beneficial in keeping risk of complications from increasing. Talk with your surgeon to ensure that your surgery will be performed in either a hospital or an accredited surgery center.

You will need to get a medical clearance from your cardiologist for this. It might be best to do surgery in two shorter sessions.

With cardiology clearance and being young and otherwise healthy your overall risk from the procedure should not be substantially higher than anyone else.

I was share your medical history doing doing in person consultations so that your plastic surgeon is aware of your history and can take appropriate precautions.

In some cases this could include clearance and or a discussion with your cardiologist or possibly anesthesia consultation before surgery.
