Hello, I want to have a breast lift and tummy tuck, done separately. Which way around would give the best results? I was thinking that if I had the breast lift first, the tummy tuck would then pull the scar down and make it more visible? Thank you.
Answer: Either way is fine. Hi Witty98626, Excellent results can be achieved either way, specifically doing the breast lift or the tummy tuck first. I would suggest that you identify your #1 priority, and move forward with that procedure first. Once procedure #1 has healed, procedure #2 should not notably impact the results of procedure #1. Ultimately, the area that bothers you most should be addressed first. Hope this helps. Best,Christopher Pannucci MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPlastic Surgery NorthwestSpokane, Washington USA

Answer: Mommy makeover The scar for the breast uplift procedure should not be pulled down by the tummy tuck because the tissues are not undermined (lifted off the abdomen) as high as the breasts during tummy tuck surgery. Therefore, which problem area you address first is entirely up to you, and I would suggest starting with the area that you find most troublesome. Of course, these procedures can be combined into a single surgical episode, which will come at a lower overall cost to you. Your recovery and what is happening in the rest of your life is also an important consideration.

Answer: Breast lift before a tummy tuck The sequence of having a breast lift (mastopexy) before or after a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) depends on your personal preferences, overall health, and the advice of your plastic surgeon. There isn't a strict rule dictating which should come first; however, several factors might influence the decision: Your Goals: If you have a strong preference for addressing one area of your body before the other due to aesthetic concerns, you might prioritize that procedure first. Recovery Considerations: Combining procedures like a breast lift and tummy tuck can result in a more extended initial recovery period. Some individuals prefer to space out surgeries to allow for more manageable recovery periods. Surgeon's Recommendations: Your plastic surgeon will assess your overall health, anatomy, and individual needs to recommend the most appropriate sequence for your procedures. Cost and Convenience: Combining surgeries can save on overall costs and reduce the total downtime associated with recovery, but it might not always be the best option for everyone. Discuss your goals, concerns, and preferences with your plastic surgeon during your consultation. They will evaluate your specific case, provide guidance on the best sequence for your surgeries, and help you create a treatment plan that aligns with your desired outcomes and overall well-being.

Answer: A tummy tuck and breast lift can be done simultaneously. Hello and thank you for your question! If you are a good candidate, both procedures can be performed at the same time! It seems like you would be a very good candidate for a mommy makeover. You can get a tummy tuck and breast augmentation/lift at the same time and this is part of what people talk about when they use the term "mommy makeover". Of course, these procedures can be done separately though the cost is usually more. It is very common for women to want a mommy makeover, especially after having had children. Pregnancy definitely is hard on the abdominal and breast areas and this is a comment complaint among women visiting my office. I completely understand the desire to save costs as well as only undergo only one procedure and have them done at the same time. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of mommy makeovers. Good luck with your future surgery! I hope my answer helped you and if it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right. Have a great day.

Answer: Should I have a breast lift before a tummy tuck? There is no right or wrong answer to this . You can go for one which is bothering you more. One option is that you can go for both operations at the same time to give you one general anaesthetic and one recovery. Generally when patients get tummy tuck, their breast become more prominent and in fact some patients got compliments for getting breast augmentation when they has a tummy tuck,
