Normal to be talking funny after Juvederm and Botox?

Thank you for your question. It’s unusual for speech problems to develop after getting any cosmetic injection, but from your description, it sounds like BOTOX® is the more likely culprit. The product may have paralyzed muscles that you use when you speak. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to tell for sure without an in-person evaluation. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty speaking after your Botox and Juvederm treatment.  It's difficult to make exact recommendations without assessing you in-person, but based on your description, it sounds like the Botox may be the culprit.  Botox injections in the lower face are a relatively advanced technique.  If the Botox is not placed exactly correctly, or if it drifts and affects other muscle groups that control the lip, it can make it difficult to speak.  The effects can last up to 3-4 months for most patients.

Of the two, Botox is the more likely culprit for your difficulty talking. Unfortunately, there is not a reversal agent for Botox as there is for Juvederm. However, it does wear off in 3-4 months. Hope this helps.

am sorry to hear about your situation. Juvederm is a filler used to enhance the
appearance of the face. If Botox spreads to nearby muscles around the mouth it may make movement of the lips difficult and consequently affect speech and pronunciation. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs or an in-office exam. Most people enjoy the results of their Botox treatment for 3-4 months. At that point the effects are usually worn off. Please consult with a doctor for specific

It's difficult to say without knowing more about the injections.  Of the two, it is more likely that the Botox would be the cause of the speech changes.  Unfortunately there is no reversal agent for Botox, but the effects will wear off gradually over 3-4 months.

Sometimes with injection into the chin, the lips move a bit funny afterwards. It can take about 4 months for the to wear off.
