GMS...beauty Hunting

I have been seeing Jackie Sirgant at GMS for a couple of years now. She is truly the best. Jackie takes the time to get to know her clients and what it is they want to achieve. I feel completely at ease in her wonderful hands and would recommend her, as well as GMS, for all your beauty needs!

Botox for gummy smile - friendly and calming

I am new to botox, and my providers, Ahisa and Jackie, are always so friendly and calming when I come into this Greenwich location. I would highly recommend coming here and seeing these two providers, as I have enjoyed my experience here. I am super excited to see their new office in the spring and would recommend anyone coming here. The team as a whole is great.

Always makes me feel extremely comfortable! Wouldn’t go anywhere else

Excellent!!! Amanda and Ahisa are the best!!! Never have to wait! I am taken right back for photos and then Amanda is in my room within 3 to 4 minutes. When Ahisa is taking my photos the conversation flows. I have been coming to GMS for years. It is a wonderful experience. Then Amanda enters and the conversation continues. It is like sitting with family! I have recommended Greenwich...

Q: What can be done to my face to have a fresher/younger face? (Photo)
Answered by Amanda N. PucciDecember 8, 2018

A: I would love the opportunity to see your face in person but based on the photos provided, I would recommend a combination of PRP and Fillers. PRP (Platelet Rish Plasma) is extracted from your blood in the office and can be microneedled and/or injected into the face to increase collagen reproduction. This procedure is usually done once a month for 4-6 treatments to help promote active collagen growth and build connective tissue below the surface of the skin- therefore reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, as well as shrinking pore size and promoting a facial glow. The combination of PRP with hylaronic acid filler can also be injected into the midface/cheek area to help lift the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Q: I'm wondering if it's time for me to start using filler in my cheeks? I'm not happy with some nasolabial shadows (photo)
Answered by Catherine CurtinOctober 4, 2018

A: As we age, we lose volume in our face, which occurs for a variety of reasons. Losing weight could actually accentuate your nasal labial folds because your skin is supported by fat and subcutaneous tissue, therefore losing facial fat could mean losing support and result in further folding of your skin. Fillers are great because they work immediatelly to return volume to volume depleted areas of the face which lift the skin and fill out folds and depressions, resulting in a more rested and youthfull appearence. There are also many types of skin tightening devices that are great at tightening the skin, but not necessarily volumizing the face. The combination of both dermal fillers and lasers are the best way to age gracefully. I hope this helps.

Q: Dermal fillers and possible Botox 24 hours after each other?
Answered by Amanda N. PucciOctober 4, 2018

A: It is perfectly okay to be treated by two different providers within a 24 hour period as long as you communicate what was done to the MD/NP/PA performing the treatment on you. Since botox takes up to 10 days to work, you would not want to inject the same muscle with more botox within 24hours so be sure that it is an entirely different area that you are treating.

Q: Will waiting longer between Sculptra injections negate my end results?
Answered by Catherine CurtinSeptember 6, 2018

A: Hello there! It is typical to space Sculptra treatments 6 to 8 weeks apart, as Sculptra Aesthetic is a Non-HA (Hyaloronic Acid) Biostimulatory Filler that stimulates your own native collagen, resulting in volume augmentation over time. Therefore, the delay in between treatments will just take you longer to get to your desired result, but it will also allow more time for your own body to stimulate collagen from the first 2 vials you received. There is no reason why you cannot do the microneedling and the PRP on the same day you do the Sculptra, preferably after the Sculptra, but that is entirely up to the Practitioner doing the treatment. I hope this helped!

Q: What procedure can I get done in order to have a slimmer define face? I hate my cheeks and big jawline. (photo)
Answered by Shilpa DesaiSeptember 6, 2018

A: Hi dcnl98,

Thank you so for your question.  It's difficult without seeing you in person to determine what you exactly require to achieve the results you want .  Botox is commonly injected into the massetter muscles to slim the lower face/cheek region.  It's also performed to relieve patient who grind at night and have jaw pain (TMJ).  The results of botox injected into the massetter muscle can produce amazing results with slimming of lower face.  Also adding Voluma a dermal filler to the cheek bone gives you a lift and contouring of the cheek bones.  When it comes to improving the jaw line using a dermal filler like Voluma or Radiesse to the jaw line and chin creates a nice defined look.  If you have submental fat under the chin a product like Kybella (deoxycholic) is injected into the area to destroysl fat cells to give you a slimmer appearance under the chin.  I hope this helps and good luck!!
