Malar bags look full blown after Restylane injection. Will this go away?

THe festoons are very difficult to treat and even more difficult to treat with fillers. Combination fillers and lasers has helped my patients to somewhat resolve their festoons. But if you just getting Restylane for tear trough area, the festoon will get worse. I usually give my patients 20 mg of Prednisone to resolve the swelling faster. and usually the area will respond to steroid one dose treatment.  

Dear lelebugsThank you for your question !  I am sorry you are having this experience.  Festoons are challenging - and if the Restylane made this worse - removal with hyaluronidase should improve the contour.  You may try to use Lymphdiaral cream.With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD
