After research, I believe It could be a hemotoma, blood blister or a poorly done job. I was told to wait It out. I am very anxious and nervous about my results.
Answer: Swelling & Lumps after Lip Augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) There can be some asymmetrical swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out any lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. I suggest following up with your injector about your concerns -- or getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Restylane This looks like either an infection or incorrect filler placement. I would contact your provider immediately and seek medical help. This will likely not go away on its own. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures. o

Answer: Filler Results Thank you for your question. It can take upwards of two weeks for swelling following injections to completely subside. Small lumps or bruising is not uncommon. Give it a little more time to see your final result. Follow up with your injector to address your concern. Good luck!

Answer: Wish it was a sharper picture... Hi Paige, I can't see perfect details in your picture but I don't see a purplish discoloration in the bump (third picture) which I would expect from a hematoma. Swelling shows up in the first 24 hrs after injection and starts getting better by day 3. I am more inclined to say that this is poor product placement that migrated to the location of that bump. Fortunately and assuming this is a Hyaluronic Acid product, it can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase and if it is very close to the mucosal surface, the injector can drain it. In any case, this is not normal and you should go and see your provider to have them fix it. Best of luck!
