I think my nose is to long any ideas?
Answer: Rhinoplasty and Perfection You have to understand that there is no such thing as the “perfect” nose. As rhinoplasty surgeons, we are able to improve the structure and function of the nose to address specific issues you have with how your nose looks and and how well you can breathe. Perfect symmetry does not exist in nature. Attempts to improve the symmetry of your nose should be aimed at achieving an improvement in your asymmetry to the point where it is no longer very noticeable. If you look carefully enough, you will always be able to find imperfections. The goal is a normal looking nose that is in harmony with the rest of your anatomy.

Answer: Long nose from projected tip The nose appears long because of for over projected tip. That means of the nasal tip sticks out of the face farther than it should. This can be corrected by rhinoplasty. In specific the nasal tip to have to be reduced which will include some of the cartilages and the nasal tip and at times the nasal septum.RegardsDr. J

Answer: Nasal Tip Hello Sam. Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping surgery) to refine the nasal tip is a common request. Most likely, an “open rhinoplasty” (where the soft tissues are gently elevated to allow direct access to the tip cartilages) will be required. These tip cartilages are then sculpted and sutured to refine the nasal tip. If you like, please follow the link below. The article on Nasal Analysis contains many diagrams that you may find helpful. This may help guide your conversation with your surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.Dr. Shah

Answer: Rhinoplasty for overly projecting nose, chin implant for under projecting chin A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish decreasing the overall projection of the nose, reducing the dorsal hump, and reducing the columellar show. A small chin implant can be inserted through a submental approach to give better projection to the chin to help with facial balance especially from the profile. Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes, are composed of Silastic and can be performed at same time as the rhinoplasty, or as a stand-alone procedure.

Answer: Do you think my nose tip is too long? Hi, based upon the attached photos your chin is weak and the nasal tip is what's called "over-projected" which means it sticks too far off of the face. Rhinoplasty can reduce the nasal tip projection. A weak chin makes the nose appear larger and the mid face top-heavy. Chin augmentation with a chin implant can create harmony and balance to the lower face.
