Night Sweats after surgery, is this normal?

I am 11 days post surgery from a combination septo and rhinoplasty, with grafting. I am having horrible night sweats and am wondering if this is a normal part of the recovery process. I am not currently on any narcotic medications.

This is not a common symptom after surgery.  I agree you may be developing an infection or an abscess.  Call and see your surgeon immediately.

Dear mesw2015It is unusual to have night sweats after surgery. In cases of implant placement, it could perhaps be a sign of low grade infection. After rhinoplasty this would be highly unusual. You should see your surgeon to be evaluated.

No, having night sweats 11 days after surgery is not normal. It may be a sign of an infection. I would call your surgeon and get seen as soon as you can.
