I've attached a photo and my concern is that my lips just aren't symmetrical on both sides and I'm not really sure what I can do to fix this issue. It looks fine when I smile, but when I relax my face it just looks weird on the one side. Please let me know how to fix it, thank you.
Answer: Fillers Can Help To Make Lips More Symmetrical First, it is important to emphasize that most people have some type of asymmetry in one or more of their features. In the case of the photo you provided, there appears to be a slight asymmetry in fullnes with the left side of the lower lip appearing slightly less full than the right side. If this is indeed the case, then a small amount of filler can be used to enhance the vermilion border (the border between the red and white portions of the lip) and perhaps a small amount of filler added to the body of the left side of the lower lip to remedy this. In my NY practice, I usually opt for Restylane L for the vermilion and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC for the body of the lips. (In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers and volumizers are available, I typically opt for Princess Filler for the vermilion and Princess Volume for the body of the lips.) Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in nonsurgical lip augmentation using injectable fillers and volumizing fillers and be certain to ask to see his/her before and after photos. Best of luck.

Answer: Improving Lip Symmetry & Shape with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella), PDO Nova threads, Fat, Implants Everyone has some facial asymmetries. You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip symmetry Thank you for your question.Lips are usually not symmetric from one side to the other, in some people the asymmetry is more noticeable than others. When you are looking at the face from side to side, you will notice the eyes, eyebrows, and even nostrils are slightly different. This is completely normal, I tell patients they should look like sisters not twins. To help improve the symmetry you could try fillers or something longer lasting would be fat grafting.

Answer: Lip Fillers Hello, Lip Fillers are Amazing! Everyone has degree of asymmetry in the body and face. But in some it may be more noticeable. I must say yours is quite mild though. Fortunately we have non-invasive methods to improve and enhance hips. A little bit of filler can improve your lips. while It is medical treatment it involved art and understanding of sculpting. See an experienced and artistic medical provider and in few minutes you see the magic! Good Luck.

Answer: Why aren't both sides of my lips symmetrical? (Photo) It really depends what your specific and exact goals are. These first have to be clearly defined. You have some very subtle asymmetry between the left and right sides of your upper lip and very subtle asymmetry in other respects between the left and right sides of your lower lip. In addition, the relative proportions between the upper and lower lip need to be considered. In general, your lower lip is more dominant than it should be for the "average" person. It really depends on what you want as an individual. Be sure to discuss your goals clearly with your plastic surgeon. Certainly, lip augmentation with HA filler can be considered as a conservative treatment. Alternately, one may consider a Permalip implant to the upper lip to bring in more into proportion with the lower lip and you can use supplemental HA fillers after implant placement. Permalip implants are much better than prior implant options have been in the past. I wish you the best.
