Still in pain 5 years later after chin implant

Question

I went to Richmond Virginia from Texas. After the procedure was done and I woke up I had no function to my lip and I was incredibly swollen. The swelling was so bad we considered going to the hospital. When I was finished he asked me if I had feeling in my lips. Then he asked where I was from and said he knew doctors out there that I could speak to about any complications. Then he took xrays after. The pain was beyond excruciating. 5 years later still in pain. Did he know?

I’m not sure what you’re asking for in your post.
I generally do not recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures.
Patients do not seem to appreciate the importance of having in person consultations to vet providers, the importance of postoperative care, the number of patients who end up needing revisions or that complications actually happened.
This procedure can cause damage to the mental nerve.
If follow up with your provider is not possible, then consult, second opinion consultations with plastic surgeons or oral surgeons in your community.
