It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.After 2 weeks you can usually resume normal washing.  It is always a good idea to have good communication with your doctor.

it is very important to remove the scabs in the first 10 days. The easiest way of doing this is to massage during shower. 

You may start to wash your transplant area at second day of surgery with care and massage the transplant area gently so the scabs will fall off... After two weeks of hair transplantation  it is acceptable  to wash hairs as normal /preoperative period of surgery. All scabs should be cleaned with pressured (not gentle) massage to transplant area  after 2 weeks .Dont forget that you may wash your head with normal pressure and if you need you can use a wet towel with soap for massage the scabby area, it Works very well to remove scabs .Patient may feel free to loosen any scabs on his/her head by massaging and that will not  damage the grafts after 2 weeks . 

Hello, It sounds like you have been following your post-op regime correctly. Make sure that you let the recipient area air dry after you wash gently with water. You can also massage gently the grafted recipient area and this is what helps to break down some of the scabs (but don’t pick, pull or scratch the scabs). You should still continue to use your baby shampoo until around the 28th day. If your doctor has given you instructions per Minoxidil use, you should follow those as well. After 28 days post-operation you can return to your regular shower routine and regular shampooing but don’t use Nizoral or Head & Shoulders shampoo as they dry out your grafts.

Since you still have them my  advice is to apply moisturizer on your transplanted area, leave it over the night, and wash it off in the morning, also gentle massage, during washing procedure, is advised. But consult with your surgeon as well, let him see your recovery period

It is definitely time to start massaging the scabs off, not picking.  The best technique is to place a moderate amount of conditioner on the grafted areas (any brand) and leave in place for about 20 minutes.  Then allow direct water on the scabs and massage the scabs off with gentle sided to side, back to front and rotation movements.  You will have to work them off individually and you may have to repeat this process until all of the scabs are gone.  Apply Aquaphor (you can buy at any pharmacy) on any residual scabs once you get out of the shower to soften them up for removal.  

At this point you can and should return to normal washing routine with regular pressure shower and shampoo with rubbing. 

You have persistent crusting which should have come off from good washing techniques after the surgery, An FUE is treated just like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days of surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of losing grafts. IF any crust is present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the donor area gone in 3-4 days with daily washing. To get the crusting off, you need to leave the shampoo on your hair for 10 minutes and as the crust become water logged, then will come off with gentle finger action. Repeat this twice a day until it is all
gone.
